Create an Analytics Project

For: Workspace Owners

Use this chapter to create a new reusable analysis environment. Your Culsma PAWS connection must include lab.analytics.write, and you must be the owner of the active workspace.

Before creating the project, decide its purpose, the people who will use it, and whether existing Lab Projects should be recorded as sources.

Workflow

1. Define the analysis purpose.
2. Create and name the Analytics Project.
3. Add a description that explains what belongs in it.
4. Link related Lab Projects when appropriate.
5. Grant the initial Reader, Writer, and Publisher access.
6. Confirm that the project is ready for its first dataset.

Example request

Create an Analytics Project named “Respiratory Cohort Analysis” in the active workspace. Use it for reusable cohort summaries and quality-control datasets. Show me the proposed name, identifier, description, and Lab Project links before making changes.

After creation, ask the AI agent to fetch the Analytics Project again and list its linked Lab Projects. Then grant only the roles needed for the first dataset.

Note

Linking a Lab Project records its relationship to the Analytics Project. It does not copy data or grant Analytics Project access to Lab Project members.
