Share and Govern an Analytics Project

For: Workspace Owners

Workspace Owners manage Analytics Project access and Lab Project links. These operations require a connection with lab.analytics.write.

Common tasks

  • Grant Reader, Writer, or Publisher access.
  • Review current collaborators and roles.
  • Change or revoke analytics access.
  • Review linked Lab Projects and data lineage.
  • Review query and data-load history.

Grant access

Section titled “Grant access”
  1. Confirm that the person is already a member of the active workspace.
  2. Select the exact Analytics Project.
  3. Choose Reader, Writer, or Publisher according to the task.
  4. Review the person, project, and role before granting access.
  5. List the active grants and confirm the result.

For example:

In the Respiratory Cohort Analytics Project, grant Alex Reader access. First confirm the matching workspace member and show the proposed project and role.

To remove access, list the active role grants first and revoke the exact grant. Removing a role does not delete the Analytics Project or its data.

Review governance information

Section titled “Review governance information”

Use project links to document which Lab Projects contributed to an Analytics Project. Use query and load audit identifiers when investigating when data was read or changed. Keep the project description and collaborator roles current as its purpose evolves.
