Account and Workspace
Use this chapter for account and workspace tasks.
Common tasks
Section titled “Common tasks”- Connect or reconnect Culsma PAWS to an AI client.
- Open or switch workspaces.
- Join a workspace from an invitation.
- Understand visible workspace roles and permissions.
- Resolve a missing workspace or project.
Switch the active workspace
Section titled “Switch the active workspace”The active workspace controls which samples, projects, storage records, and changes are available to your current session.
- Open the main menu in the Culsma PAWS web or app interface.
- Select the current workspace name.
- Choose the intended workspace.
- Return to your AI agent and ask it to list the workspaces and confirm the active one.
If the workspace is missing, confirm that you accepted its invitation using the same email address as your account. Workspace membership does not automatically grant access to every Lab Project or Analytics Project inside it.
Manage the MCP connection
Section titled “Manage the MCP connection”Personal MCP tokens are managed from Account in Culsma PAWS. Create a separate token for each AI client or device so that one connection can be revoked without affecting the others.
- Use
lab.readfor the read-only Getting Started workflow. - Add write or analytics access only when your role and task require it.
- Revoke tokens that are unused, expired, or may have been exposed.
- A replacement token must be stored securely and configured in the AI client again.
Follow Getting Started to connect Codex or Claude Code. Never paste a token into an AI conversation or support message.
Understand missing access
Section titled “Understand missing access”Access can be limited by the active workspace, Lab Project membership, Analytics Project role, or MCP token permissions. When something is missing, ask the AI agent to report which access check failed rather than repeatedly retrying the same request.
